Stephen J. Smith Contact Info
Stephen Smith began his career in the marine insurance industry in 1989, with Lamorte Burns & Co., Inc. and currently manages the Louisiana office. In addition to his management duties he handles marine personal injury and USL&H claims along with passenger claims involving the gambling boat industry.
David E. Genevay Contact Info
David Genevay has been in the marine insurance industry since 1968. His career began at Lykes Lines in New Orleans, Louisiana, as a clerk in the claims department. Through successive promotions, he was eventually appointed Cargo Claims Manager. He was responsible for all cargo claims matters.

In 1986, David joined Stolt-Nielsen in Panama City, Florida, as the Senior Claims Adjuster. After a relocation of the office to Houston, Texas in 1992, he was appointed Claims Manager. He was responsible for all cargo, personal injury, FD&D, pollution, collision, FFO and H&M claims.

In 1999, David joined Lamorte Burns & Co., Inc. in New Orleans, Louisiana and currently handles P&I claims.

David has a BCS degree in management from Loyola University of the South in New Orleans, and an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University in Houston. He is a non-lawyer member of the MLA, SEALI, and a founding member of the Certified Claims Professional Accreditation Council.
Scott Resor Contact Info
Scott Resor began his career in the Insurance Industry in 1989. Over his career he has handled aviation claims, auto claims, general liability claims, Workers' Compensation claims, Longshore & Harbor Workers' Compensation Act claims and Jones Act claims. Since 1997 his primary focus has been on U.S.L. & H. claims, Jones Act claims and State Workers' Compensation claims. Scott received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans in 1987.
